About 750 participants attended the abas customer forum “Trends 2009,” held on September 25 and 26 at the Congress Center in Karlsruhe, to obtain information on the latest developments in all aspects of the current 2008 version of abas business software. During the two-day event, workshops were offered on 25 different topics. The focus was on the practice-oriented interplay of functional areas, with a lot of useful information on new features and improvements in abas business software.

The SYSTEMS trade fair is kicking off the fall conference season under the motto “ideas for better business.” The specialized IT trade fair will be held in Munich from October 21 through 24. The items presented will include hot topics on optimization of business processes. ABAS Software AG will join with its distribution partners at Booth 228 in Hall A1 to present new developments on all aspects of abas business software (ERP, PPS, WWS, eBusiness).

At the presentation forum set up in Hall B2, Peter Forscht, COO of ABAS Software AG, is scheduled to hold a talk entitled “abas Principles for International Operations” on Wednesday, October 22, 2008. He will show that the success of the abas Group is based on abiding by principles such as long-term thinking and actions, independence from banks and investors, minimum-risk corporate development, and organic growth. About 12 years ago, ABAS Software AG was one of the first mid-sized German business software providers to begin marketing its product outside of the European Community. At the same time, since its inception ABAS has followed principles of international operations such as meeting other cultures on the same level, ensuring personal contact, and maintaining structures based on a spirit of partnership.

abas business software will be represented at the CeBIT Bilişim Eurasia trade fair by the Turkish abas partner BEBIM Bilişim Teknolojileri Ltd.Sti, which will be present at Booth 346 in Hall 2. Worldwide, the CeBIT Bilişim Eurasia is already in the number six slot among the ten largest IT and communications trade fairs.
Last year, more than 900 exhibitors and about 140,000 visitors from all over the world converged on Istanbul for the fair. In 2007, the trade fair site, with its 10 halls and about 26,000 square meters of exhibition space, was fully booked. This makes the CeBIT Bilişim Eurasia the most important trade fair for this sector in the entire Eurasian region. It also serves as the international hub of the IT and communications markets of Turkey, Southeastern Europe, and the Black Sea region.

Clean Mobile AG, based in Unterhaching, is a new customer of the abas partner Koldt GmbH. Clean Mobile was founded with the aim of using innovative fuel cell technologies for environmentally friendly electric engines. Clean Mobile’s clientele now includes market-leading manufacturers of compact cars. The innovative technologies of Clean Mobile are protected by a number of international patents pending and are supported by leading research institutes and governmental institutions.

Elb-Schliff Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH has also decided in favor of abas ERP. In the future, the company’s 60 users will work with the ERP system with the support of ABAS Projektierung Rhein-Main GmbH & Co. KG. There are also plans to connect with business partners and freelancers using the abas eB e-business solution. Elb-Schliff has produced cutting-edge surface, profile, and creep feed grinding machines as well as work piece-specific varieties of special grinding machines for over 50 years.

Friedrich Binder GmbH & Co. KG Schmuckkettenfabrik is another new customer of SteinhilberSchwehr AG. From delicately woven strands of wire as fine as hair to classic link chains, the BINDER name stands for solid craftsmanship in gold and for state-of-the-art machine production at the highest technical level, with over one thousand special machines. From manufacturing of semifinished goods to chains equipped with perfect clasps and proudly displaying gems and jewelry elements, the pieces created by the company are always extraordinary. Fifty users at the company will work with abas ERP.
