ABAS Software, a leading provider of ERP and eBusiness solutions for midmarket manufacturers and distributors, has been recognized as one of the Top 125 Manufacturing Technology Providers by START-IT Magazine. The START-IT 125 is a directory of the most influential technology providers in the manufacturing sector. Companies are selected by the editors of START-IT and its editorial advisory board.

ABAS Software announces that FASTENERS CZ of Brno, Czech Republic, has recently implemented abas Business Software. A distributor of fasteners and connection accessories, FASTENERS implemented the business solution abas Distribution for wholesale, distribution and service companies. The project went live in January 2008 and was supported by amotIQ s.r.o., ABAS’s software partner in the Czech Republic.

According to FASTENER’s Owner/CEO Valentina Krckova, the company has already encountered improvements in every department since the go-live. “System integrity offers all information in one tool and everyone is responsible for one process which is well tracked,” she explains, “It is now much easier for me to manage my company and make the right decisions through improved process control and easier information access.”

This year’s CeBIT featured the professional forum “Effective Internationalization in the IT industry” where representatives from both ABAS Software and SAP were invited to present on their companies’ development in the global IT market. Peter Forscht, COO and co-founder of ABAS Software and Dr. Jan Grasshoff, Head of Distributed Delivery Field Services at SAP were the keynote speakers. The forum was organized by the Munich Institute of Social Science Research (München ISF) in conjunction with the institute’s ongoing “Export IT” research project.

“Think big, start small, move fast” was the message Forscht delivered as he explained how twelve years ago ABAS became one of the first German software providers to distribute its product outside the E.U. “Our principles for international operation are personal contact, meeting other cultures on equal terms, and a sales structure based on partnerships.”

ABAS Software announces the formation of a partnership with AAA Base IT of Assen, Holland to localize its software for the Dutch market. AAA Base IT specializes in implementing and supporting ERP systems for production companies. In siding with ABAS, the company is taking the necessary step in securing the longevity of its product offering.

“We consider abas Business Software to be our ‘new economy’ ERP solution,” explains Roy van der Veen, Owner of AAA Base IT, “Before abas, we had been working with two ERP offerings that are no longer being maintained. Bremicker Verkehrstechnik GmbH & Co. KG, which is located in Weilheim i. OB, is one of the biggest and most experienced German manufacturers of traffic engineering. More than 240 employees in 3 plants manufacture and sell, e.g. traffic signs, traffic management systems, parking meters, gate systems and traffic protection systems for the European market. They both manufacture and sell standard products and complex individual solutions. These include small orders and challenging major projects – both for static and dynamic signage. In the future 70 users will meet the various requirements with abas Business Software. The abas partner Koldt GmbH welcomes its new customer.

In the future, Matrix Valley Corporation SDN BHD in Malaysia will use abas Distribution on the Linux operating system. Matrix Valley is the owner of the WaterShop franchise business which sells water vending machines. The implementation and future support will be carried out by ABAS Business Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia.
