	Meiko: ten countries, four continents, one software
	International Mechanical Engineers Meiko goes for the global abas Business Software

	Karlsruhe (Germany), 14.11.2008 – Meiko, the worldwide renowned producer of industrial cleaning and disinfection appliances, has chosen abas Business Software due to its compatibility in international implementation. The ERP solution will be implemented at the MEIKO locations in Germany, the USA, China, India, Australia, Holland, Italy, Switzerland, France and Austria. In the German headquater of MEIKO, in Offenburg, four hundred concurrent users will work with abas ERP.

	Expansion required an international operation ERP Solution
	MEIKO decided in 2007 to search for a new solution, because their implemented business software was not able to cope with the international expansion. Decisive factors were considered like international adaptability of the new software, flexibility, release compatibility and the investment security of the provider. As the software selection came to a close there was a clear vote in favor of abas ERP and their supporting partner, the ABAS Projektierung GmbH in Germany, the country of MEIKO’s headquaters.

	International implementation methodology, references, and the partner network clinched the deal
	The availability of a tested international implementation methodology which ensures that the requirements of the MEIKO headquarters will be implemented worldwide, was an important criterion. ABAS has certified partners in 32 countries worldwide which locally provide support and carry out the implementation of the abas Business Software. The abas partners work closely together in the distribution phase of the MEIKO project. The overall impression of abas ERP was a positive one. Dr. Scheringer, CEO of MEIKO, summarizes their decision: „The coordination of the complete distribution process worked best with ABAS. We received quick responses to our queries, the in-house presentation made a positive impression on the whole selection team, and the fact that the international abas partners got involved at an early stage signalled to us that ABAS had a worldwide functioning network of software partners. Especially the flexibility of abas ERP in regard to adjustments, which remain even after a complete upgrade, steered the decision toward abas ERP. These characteristics have been confirmed by long-term abas users which implement the software domestically and overseas, and who expand similarly to ourselves. One must also remember the follow-up costs – the abas Business Software has an excellent price/performance ratio.”

	From Offenburg to the world
	Initially the abas Business Software will be implemented at the MEIKO headquarters in Offenburg. It is planned that the software will go live for all of the four hundred concurrent users in Germany, at the beginning of 2010. Shortly after this, the ERP solution will be implemented at the MEIKO locations in the USA, China, India, Australia, Holland, Italy, Switzerland, France and Austria.
